Ferdinand Raimund and Johann Nepomuk Nestroy Magic Farce

6 Abstract This essay's primary focus is on the phenomenon of "magic farce" within the works of Ferdinand Raimund and Johann Nepomuk Nestroy, its essence, main establishment conditions and its motifs on the background of the Viennese popular theater, the Biedermeier idyll and Vormärz. With respect to purpose of this essay, selected works of both authors are introduced and are afterwards the subject of analysis: Raimund's Der Barometermacher auf der Zauberinsel and Nestroys Der böse Geist Lumpazivagabundus oder das liederliche Kleeblatt, Freiheit in Krähwinkel and Höllenangst. The framework of the analysis is the historical and biographical context; notably the phenomenon of censorship and its impacts on artistic production of both Raimund and Nestroy. This essay also comprises important biographical aspects in relation to the transformation of the artistic approach of the authors in later years. Problems of the genre fulfillment in Farsa theologal by Diego Sánchez de Badajoz

The presented bachelor thesis deals with the genre of farce in the play Farsa theologal by Diego Sanchez de Badajoz. In the first part, the term farsa will be discussed regarding its characteristics, content and use from the beginnings of the Spanish theatre will. Later, the work is focused on the features that were typical of contemporary farce genre plays at that time. In the second part of thesis, the aim is to locate for the presented features in the particular work from the beginnings of the Spanish theatre, namely The Farsa theologal.

The Sense of Humor in the British Sound Comedies in the Comparison with some Czech Film's Examples

This thesis targets the British sound film especially comedies from 1930{\crq}s till mid 1970{\crq}s because after this period there is greater TV production which took over feature film production. There is described the production of the main studios such as Gainsborough Pictures and Gaumont-British, Ealing Studios and Rank Organisation. I aim then to classify some film styles such as farce, slapstick, burlesque, screwball and romantic comedy, satire and parody. The last target is to find some famous Czech film makers or actors, who worked or are still involed within the British film production. There are name such as Herbert Lom and Anny Ondráková.
